Metairie Baptist Church - Ministries

Preschool

We welcome your child to the Preschool Ministry of Metairie Baptist Church. Our desire is to help you and your family have a happy Christian experience through the many opportunities available at MBC. Please partner with us as we do our best to ensure a safe, nurturing, and comfortable learning environment for your child.

The Preschool Ministry seeks to provide children from birth through kindergarten with the foundations for building character, love, and a positive response to Jesus Christ and His church.

We know that; as parents, you need to be sure that your child is getting the best possible care during your time of Bible study and worship. We are committed to providing trained leaders, keeping a clean and safe environment, and maintaining a balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs of preschoolers.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of teaching your child about Jesus and His love. We will do our best to let each little one know they are loved and that they are a unique gift of God. I pray that each child grows up with this testimony – "From infancy you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ." (2 Timothy 3:15)

Weekly Schedule:

Sunday Mornings

9:15 am Sunday School

10:30 am Extended Teaching Care (up to age four)

Wednesday Nights

6:00 pm Preschool Choir

Women's Ministry

The goal of our women’s ministry is to help Christian and non-Christian women alike, recognize the joy and fulfillment that can be found in knowing Jesus. Being nurtured through bible study, prayer, missions, and other activities we are brought into lasting relationships with one another and with God.

Two bible studies are being offered at this time. “Life Principles from the Beatitudes” by Barbara Henry is an in-home study that meets on Thursday mornings at 10 am; and “Made to Crave—Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food” by Lysa TerKeurst, meets on Wednesdays (beginning January 11) at 5:45 p.m. in Room 200 at the church. Music

Metairie's music ministry is all about worshiping Jesus, the only One worthy of our worship. Our worship style is blended and we believe God can use music to move our hearts, to put our focus on Him, and to change our lives.

We have an adult choir that meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:10 - 7:15 pm and a preschool choir that meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. We also have a handbell choir that meets seasonally.
