Thomas is a native of Nashville, TN but has called New Orleans home for over 30 years.  He has been the Senior Pastor at Metairie Baptist since 2005 (and previously served as interim at MBC prior to that time).  Thomas also serves at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as the Dean of Leavell College and a Professor of New Testament/Greek.  He has been on faculty at NOBTS for 26 years.  He received his BA degree from Union University and his MDiv & Ph.D. from NOBTS. 

Thomas is married to Jana, who is active in the preschool ministry at Metairie Baptist.  They have two grown children both of whom are married, one living in New Orleans and the other living in Baton Rouge. Thomas and Jana also have two grandchildren, Audrey and Brooks!

Patrick has served on staff at Metairie since 2015 but has been an active part of the church since 2013. He holds a BA degree from the University of Mobile and a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursing a Ph.D in Evangelism.

Patrick is native of Satsuma, AL and is married to his wife Leah. They have one son named Gideon.

Carol has served as the music minister at Metairie Baptist since 2011 and has had an integral role in keeping our office running smoothly. She is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Carol is a graduate of both Oklahoma Baptist University and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Prior to joining Metairie Baptist, Carol has served with the International Mission Board in Miami, Florida and in Central Asia! She has worked for State Farm Insurance and has led music for three churches.

Carol is happily married to Errol, who is an active member of our church and a native of New Orleans, and they are grandparents to three grandchildren!

Some fun facts about Carol: She has studied five languages, has lived in eight states and three countries and has visited a total of nineteen countries. Her favorite hobby is reading – “so many books, so little time!”

Dale has served at Metairie Baptist Church since 2016, but has been an active part of the church since 2013. Dale is a graduate of the University of Mobile, received a Master of Divinity in Evangelistic Church Growth from NOBTS in 2017, and is currently a Ph.D. student in evangelism at NOBTS. Dale married his wife, Amy Garvin, in 2018. Dale has been on mission trips to Atlanta, Houston, Honduras, Haiti, and Brazil. Dale enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time outside (hiking, camping, and fishing), and  playing old video games.  

Amy has served at MBC since 2018. Amy received her bachelors in Christian Ministry from Leavell College and is currently pursuing her MDiv degree at NOBTS. Amy married her husband Dale in 2018 and they enjoy collecting classic video games together. Amy loves any opportunity to spend time with friends, work on a crochet project, or cook for others!

Rylie has served as the Administrative Assistant at Metairie Baptist Church since August 2022. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in the Spring of 2021 after majoring in Biblical studies and philosophy. After graduating, Rylie moved to New Orleans to pursue a graduate degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is now pursuing a Master of Divinity in Marriage and Family Counseling with the intent of serving in long term missions overseas. 

Rylie is engaged to Zach Cowart, who also serves at Metairie Baptist Church.
